Hello, Book Nerds! Welcome back to Reading Has Ruined My Life or welcome if you are new. As always, my name is Hannah and I am your captain on this journey into my bookcases.

With my annual reading goal of 90 books, I am bound to reread quite a few titles in 2026. While I’m most excited to get my claws on a bunch of new books, I can’t help but look forward to some titles I greatly enjoyed in the past. These are those stories.

5. Salem’s Lot by Stephen King is kicking off this list. For roughly the past five years I’ve been saying that I’m going to reread this book. And then I don’t. If I put it on this list then I feel I have something to hold me accountable. Without fail, I read every title that goes on my reread list for the year. So if I don’t read Salem’s Lot this year, then I’ll probably never read it again based on my sheer laziness.

4. Next up is a YA duology I enjoyed immensely: All of Us Villains and All of Our Demise by Amanda Foody and C.L. Herman. I am in the mood for some good YA urban fantasy, and I haven’t gotten that in ages. The All of Us Villains duology is the best urban fantasy I’ve read in many years. I think the story is enthralling, the characters are well developed and stand on their own, and the stakes are life and death; what more can a girl want?

3. She’s a legend, she’s an icon, she’s The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Need I say more? She is That Girl!

2. Make some noise for The Next Queen of Heaven by Gregory Maguire! This one surprised me the first time I read it. Gregory Maguire is really know for retelling famous fairytales and villain stories, his one other purely original book, Lost, objectively isn’t good, but The Next Queen of Heaven is fantastic! I can’t get this book out of my head.

1. Finally, I plan to reread a whole series this year. Sunrise on the Reaping put me back in my Hunger Games bullshit era. It has been ages since I read the entire series so I’m going to read all five books this year. Honestly, I’ll probably reread them all in a week because they’re so good. I just don’t know if I’m ready to be emotionally destroyed by them again. Nor do I know which order I wish to read them in. Should I read the original trilogy first? Do I read in chronological order? I don’t know. Your suggestions are very welcome.

Thus endeth the list! Thank you very much for joining me today, Book Nerds. I hope you had a lovely time here at RHRML. I will see you all again next week with a very special review. One of my favorite shows is finally back with a new season and we’ve got to talk about it. With that, I shall bid you all adieu. Though if you can’t wait till next week to revel in some literary goodness, then give RHRML a follow over on Instagram (@ReadingHasRuinedMyLife). I post there almost daily. You can also follow the blog on Twitter and BlueSky (@RHRMLBlog). If you want something not related to books then check out my podcast Nothing to See Hear. The show stars me and two of my dearest friends as we talk everything and anything. There is two years worth of content to listen to, so I'm sure you’ll find something you like. Nothing to See Hear can currently be found on Spotify and YouTube.

Until next time, stay safe, wash your hands, and read some good books for me.

Bears waving.
See y'all then, bye!
